On 23 August, at 18:00, the exhibition of photographer Márk Somogyi opened in Villa Gyetvai, which will be on display until 22 September.
Márk Somogyi lives and works as a photographer and graphic designer in the Káli Basin in the Balaton Uplands. For him photography is both a profession and an art. As a result of his interest in and respect for nature and his artistic vision, he has developed his own style with his nature-based compositions, for which he has received numerous awards and recognitions both in Hungary and abroad.
He strives for awareness and value creation in his work, because he believes that art should evoke positive experiences and thoughts in the audience. In addition, the artist considers it his imperative mission to capture and show the wonders, beauties and values, both small and large, that he encounters, be it natural or man-made ephemeral objects.
When I look at the world
the world looks back
I say it's a mess
he replies, complete whole.
I say it's all untrue
shining nothingness
he says, look closer
reality is me.
I say, pure strangeness
so many passing visions
He says, look in the mirror
What you see there is me.
