We cordially invite you to the exhibition of the painter Lívia Szilvási, which will be held at Villa Gyetvai Borbirtok from 25 October to 25 November.
Dr. Lívia Szilvási graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Miskolc, obtained a degree in European Law and other qualifications related to the legal profession, and has been successfully running her own law firm for more than 20 years. She leads an active life as an open-minded and inquisitive person, which constantly opens up new ideas and opportunities, paving the way for her personal development.
Her artistic abilities were present from an early age, and she spent her primary and secondary school years in art schools, surrounded by the spirit and atmosphere of those schools, and shaped by her father's musicality and philosophical nature combined with practicality, and her mother's natural sense of beauty, determination and perseverance combined with humility.
In 2018 she had a very strong mental image that inspired her to express her experience of femininity, and this led to her first artwork. Since then she has been constantly receiving inspirations, "visions" to be expressed, and she is constantly educating herself. She finds it particularly exciting and complex to see how a lawyer with two feet on the ground and a creative artist striving to express profound spirituality can be so well combined.
Her early works were collages and mixed media, but in recent years she has gradually turned to abstract painting, which allows her to express her feelings more clearly and freely. Her paintings aim at expressing inner processes and moods triggered by female qualities, life experiences, with individual vision and rich symbolism. Music plays an important role in her creative process, as does the experience of emotions and the bold experimentation with colours and textures, which imbues the images and the space in which they are placed with a special energy.
Her previous exhibitions include Magnet Community House Budapest (2022), Budapest Bar Association (2023), Kisvárda House of Arts (2023), and as a member of the Corvin Artists' Circle she has the opportunity to participate in thematic group exhibitions with her paintings selected by a professional jury.
