At the end of March we will open the first exhibition of 2025 at Villa Gyetvai Winery. Katrin Bettenhäuser's exhibition, entitled "15 years of Paintings - Résumé", will feature a selection of her favourite paintings from her older and more recent works, creating a selection to show the wide range of her art in Balatonfüred.
The exhibition will be on display at Villa Gyetvai from 29 March to 29 April.
Katrin Bettenhäuser was born in Leipzig and lived there until she was 18. She studied dentistry in her native language and graduated from Semmelweis University in 1985. She has been in private practice for over 25 years. After starting a family, she began to paint seriously. She has been a member of the Barabás Painting Circle in Győr for more than 25 years, her master being the painter László Barabás, from whom she learnt the technique of oil painting. She also studied drawing and pastel techniques at the school of the graphic artist Péter Kiss. She also attended Szilvia Terdik's courses at art camps and Zoltán Székács's painting classes at the Modul Art Academy in Budapest. Since 2020 she has been expressing herself in a broader spectrum, using oil, acrylic, montage, collage and various media. Self-taught, she is constantly seeking opportunities for further development, mainly through the online space. She regularly participates in competitions to share what she has created with the public. She was determined to make her childhood dream of creating her own works of art come true and she has achieved this goal.

The exhibition will be open until 29 April 2025, before or after which you can taste the wines of Villa Gyetvai or while looking at the wonderful pictures.
