We are opening the art season at Villa Gyetvai on 27 March. At our inaugural exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to view Mária S. Hontai's paintings in the "Lights and Melodies" exhibition, which captures the transient beauty of nature. Through the interplay of light, water, reflections and colours, moods emerge that convey both tranquillity and thought-provoking depth. The exhibition captures the variability of nature and the magic of fleeting moments through the painter's personal perspective.
The exhibition will be on display at Villa Gyetvai Borbirtok from 27 March to 25 April 2026.
Mária S. Hontai started painting ten years ago. She studied under Gizella N. László, Tibor Sáska and Tibor Kádár. She regularly participates in artist camps and courses led by the Budapest-based painter Marianna Bottyán. She began using pastels after being inspired by András Gécseg. She holds several solo exhibitions each year and has recently exhibited in Veszprém at the Agora, the Petőfi Theatre, the County Library and Pannon University, as well as in Eplény, Arács, Kám at the Jeli Arboretum and Vasszécsény.
She also regularly participates in group exhibitions: in 2025, for example, her painting was selected by the jury for the Ajka Exhibition and the Kleine Weihnachten exhibition in Vienna. Currently, two of her works are on display at the Golden Duck Gallery's Art Deco exhibition in Budapest's Ráday Street, also based on the jury's decision.

József Nyőgér performs on the piano.
József Nyőgér lives and works in Veszprém, where he teaches Hungarian and German. Art has always been an important part of his life, with literature and music being particularly close to his heart. He enjoys sharing the joy of music with others, performing regularly both solo and as part of various artistic projects. In recent years, he has also been active as a composer, creating his own musical works.

The exhibition can be viewed during the Villa's opening hours until April 25, 2026.Before or after your visit, you can taste Villa Gyetvai wines or even while viewing the wonderful pictures.
